Paloma Redecilla

Paloma Redecilla’s studio was present at the Contemporary Art Fair artist360 held last February in Madrid. There you could see a small sample of several paintings from different collections.

“Strings Series”

The “Strings” series is created as part of the spiritual and intellectual state of the author, which reflects her artistic concerns in the relationship of everyday materials with the creation of the work. In this collection the strings have a preferential place in the whole structure of the work, providing volume, verticality and harmony on the different materials.

Who I am.

Paloma Redecilla

Throughout my professional career, I have always had a deep obession with light and colour, developing and working on my technique to express energy, positivity and optimism in my canvases.

Each one of my pieces competes with the previous one, each maturing with my creativity and allowing me take one step further when it comes to the optical illusion of colours and therefore taking me out of my comfort zone. My collections are a reflection of my experiences, interests, feelings and the inner thoughts that I portray in the canvases.

“With this series I didn’t want to make paintings, I wanted to create a space open to the imagination, another dimension of concepts, a journey through thought and the present”. Analyzing the canvas, the forms, the materials, are part of the process of creation where you must also be prepared for frustration in many cases.

PALOMA REDECILLA

This work reflects the initial state of the construction, where concrete, cement and the movement of materials etc. are recreated. The ropes are the central axis of the painting providing the verticality and creating a volume that merges with the rest of the canvas. The fabrics are also an important part of the central axis of the work that enriches the whole creating a harmony between the materials.
